Professional Sharpening for Beauty Salons

Beautiful, factory edge results!

Consider the following:
  • If you have to be trained and certified in your profession, why shouldn’t your sharpener be certified as well?
    • We have not only been certified in a national competition, but have also excelled to the top national status of "Master Sharpener" by the National Shear Sharpeners Guild. See our NSSG Certification here.
    • Just as you attend seminars and shows to improve your skills, we do the same for shears and sharpening. We attend training courses and seminars every year to keep our skills "sharp" and learn the latest shear designs.
    • We have plenty of experience at sharpening the highest quality shears, such as Hikari, Kasho, Matsuzaki, etc.
    • We do not use harsh grinding machines. We use all honing techniques.
  • Have you ever said "shears never work the same after they have been sharpened?"
    • We get factory edge results.
    • We can say more, but you simply need to see it to believe it.
    • See our references page to speak to some of our customers.
  • Is your sharpener courteous and professional?
    • We respect that you are also working and have customers. We do not interfere with your operations and we provide the kind of customer service you want to receive.
    • We work by appointment and will come at times that are convenient for you.
  • Have you been educated on proper maintenance and tensions for your shears?
    • We provide maintenance sheets and instructions on how to properly care for your shears so as to get the most life out of your shears.
  • Has anyone ever educated you on what to look for when buying a shear? We explain the following:
    • Which handles designs are more ergonomic and why?
    • Which blade designs are better for dry cutting or slide cutting?
    • What's the difference between cast or forged shears?
    • Which types of steel are better?
    • What kind of craftsmanship is behind the shear?
  • Have you ever bought a shear and began using it only to find out that you don't like it?
    • First, we take the time to custom fit a shear to your hands and needs. We offer over 60 high quality shears for you to try in the salon.
    • Second, we offer a 7 day trial period for you to use the shear to make sure it works well for you! If it doesn't, you can turn in your shear as a credit towards any other shear.
    • Shear manufacturers do not offer any of this and you are limited to only their brand.
  • How would you like to try some of the latest irons, dryers and tools in your salon before you buy?
    • We bring demos of these tools to you.
    • We have taken the time to research the best tools in the market and have field-tested them before bringing them to you.
    • These are high quality items you will not typically find in your local supply stores.
    • See our accessories page for details.
    • We bring the Beauty Shows to you!!!!
